DRIVERS are as much distracted by "old technology" as by new gadgets, according to a survey. Adult passengers, twiddling with the radio and children in the car were the main distractions causing either a near-miss or an accident, the poll of more than 18,000 motorists found. These three distractions came ahead of operating the sat-nav and talking on a mobile phone as the biggest reasons for lack of driver attention.
Bugatti 'will continue to produce the worlds fastest car'
Bugatti will launch the 16C Galibier limousine shown in 2009 as a concept car, the new president and CEO Wolfgang Durheimer has confirmed to CAR. The Galibier will eventually be part of a two-strong Bugatti range, meaning there's life in the hypercar brand post-Veyron. In a wide-ranging interview in the new May 2011 issue of CAR Magazine, Durheimer revealed that the Galibier would carry over the Veyron's monstrous W16 engine and transmission, but that Bugatti is developing a hybrid option to make sure its big limo retains social acceptability.

Kia say the GT4 Stinger Concept – revealed at Detroit after a series of teasers ahead of the reveal – is their take on a purebred, affordable sports car. And it looks very promising. Under the bonnet of the striking GT4 Stinger sits a modified version of Kia’s 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine, which is good for 311bhp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual ‘box, with a set of 20″ alloys with centre locking and carbon fibre inserts covering 15″ cross-drilled discs and four piston callipers for stopping power.
